Remi's personal message:
"Childhood is such a short time, yet it affects us so deeply. And unfortunately, many people weren't born in to families that afforded them the opportunity to learn how to live and relate in healthy ways. Wise people keep learning and keep growing over the lifespan.

One of my favorite quotes relating to personal growth is by Eleanor Roosevelt. She wrote, 'A mature person is one who is does not think only in absolutes, who is able to be objective even when deeply stirred emotionally, who has learned that there is both good and bad in all people and all things.' My hope is that if you tend to see only the bad, whether in yourself or others, you reach out for help, for your health, and allow yourself the gift of growth."

Remi Spicer Rakipi is the founder and director of Rivertown Counseling. She is a licensed clinical social worker and holds a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy, Specializing in Couples and Sex Therapy. Ms. Rakipi has been helping improve the quality of others' lives through counseling and education for over 10 years. Personally, Ms. Rakipi enjoys mothering her 2 boys, ages 5 and 2.
